When will Insidious 5 be released? As Digital Spy points out, "Insidious 5" is expected to arrive in theaters "sometime in 2022," according to Blumhouse's Jason Blum.
When did insidious 4 release?
Insidious: The Last Key
Is insidious 4 the last one?
Insidious 5 was officially confirmed in October 2020 and the horror sequel will mark Patrick Wilson's directorial debut. A fifth Insidious movie might be a surprise to some after the fourth movie, Insidious: The Last Key, received the worst reviews of the series to date.
At the very end of Insidious Chapter 2, Elise hears a sound coming from behind Allison in the shadows that can be implied to have been the Red-Faced Demon, as it made a creaking noise. Hinting that he somehow escaped the Further again.
Are The Conjuring and Insidious movies connected? It's a common question, but the answer is no, The Conjuring and Insidious franchises are not linked to each other. The only 'link' is James Wan who directed both the first two Conjuring movies and the Insidious movies.
The Nun 2's Status Is Unknown
The movies tend to follow each other in a relatively tight release pattern, so if The Nun 2 is next, a release date of no later than 2023 is likely.
So once Elise resolves to help Quinn and break through to The Further, it is a matter of her finding out what is going on and how to combat it. Plus, we get to see the origination of the association between Elise and Tucker and Specs. Whether or not the “Insidious” series will continue remains to be seen.
Elise is killed at the end of the first movie by the Bride in Black, who has successfully possessed Josh. She reappears in the second movie as a spirit in the Further, where she helps Josh get back to his physical body and stop Parker from killing his family.
It is revealed that Elise ran away from home at the age of 16, leaving behind her younger brother Christian, and inadvertently allowing a young woman to die. It turns out that this woman - Anna - was very much alive, and had been held captive by Elise's father in a secret basement room.
Insidious: The Last Key
Gerald Rainier - Stabbed by KeyFace and disintegrated, sacrificing himself to save his daughter Elise.
This was later confirmed by Warner Bros., which also stated that the film would be loosely based on real-life events surrounding Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The Red Door is the main pathway to the Further and it is the entrance to various portals and lairs of the main antagonists of the Insidious movie franchise. In Insidious, the door leads to the Lipstick-Face Demon's lair, while in Insidious: Chapter 2, it is the entrance to Parker Crane's lair.
This film takes place in 2007. Insidious (2010) and Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013) take place in 2010. A small panic was caused in a theater when this film was accidentally screened instead of the PG rated family film Inside Out (2015).
I listened to this scene several times, with headphones on, to discern what the voices are saying through the baby monitor. At first, it's nearly intelligible. It starts out as static and then turns into low whispering. “There's nothing you can do,” says the first voice.
The Bride in Black in Insidious: Chapter 2 and the Nun from The Conjuring 2 (and The Nun) share a similar aesthetic, while the demon attached to Annabelle looks pretty similar in theme to the "Darth Maul" demon from the first Insidious.
No. Nothing about the story in Annabelle is based on real events — John and Mia are fictional characters. The films are, however, based on the real Annabelle doll, a normal-looking Raggedy Ann Doll with no porcelain, like in the film.
Insidious and Conjuring's connection
Both Insidious and The Conjuring universe are set in such a timeline that can very well fit into each other. In Insidious, he plays the character of Josh who is a good father and husband just like Ed Warren who is much older than Josh.
Valak made her first appearance in The Conjuring 2 as a ghostly nun, before inspiring the titular spin-off, The Nun, with a sequel expected soon. Fans of the Conjuring films will have a mixed response to the news that no characters will return in the latest movie.
Bonnie Aarons is ready to return as Valak in The Nun 2, which is in development at Warner Bros. We haven't heard any official updates on The Nun 2 in quite some time. We know that Warner Bros. isn't done with The Conjuring universe yet, and this is one of the projects they have on the backburner.
There's no official word on whether or not Annabelle 4 is in development, so Annabelle Comes Home could very well be the last movie in the series. However, Safran has appeared open to the prospect of the movie happening, and there have indeed been rumors of a fourth film.
Insidious: Chapter 3 is a prequel that revealed more of the personal history between Elise and the Bride In Black, with the latter holding a grudge against the psychic when she prevented the spirit possessing Josh as a child. The Bride In Black reappears throughout the story, vowing to strangle Elise.

Josh is already possessed by Parker Crane and hears voices later revealed to be that of his mother, Michelle Crane, telling him to kill his family in which he replies, "please dont make me do it" but it is the only way for him to live.
The director is guaranteed final cut and can ignore any of Blum's notes, although there will be plenty of those, and the profits are ultimately shared with the cast and crew, which is how Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson were each paid around $11,000 in salary for Insidious Chapter 2 but ended up making $7 million on the
Elise explains that Dalton is a traveler with the ability of leaving his physical body and travel in astral projection. Now his spiritual body is lost in a place called Further that is not for the living and entities are gathered trying to get inside his empty physical body.
At the end of Insidious we learn that not only do astral abilities provide humans access to the spirit world, but vice versa. The only time a spirit arrives to wreak havoc on the real world is through an encounter with someone who has abilities, like Josh, Dalton, or Elise.
Elise managed to help Josh forget about his ability to astral project, and had his mother hide old photographs of him as a child (which contained images of the old woman), leading to his disdain for having his picture taken. Elise suggests that Josh should use his ability to find and help return Dalton's soul.
They manage to kick the demon back into the Further and bring Dalton back to his body, but in the final moments of the movie, it's revealed that the spirit that came back to Josh's body wasn't Josh — he's still in the Further. Instead, the Bride in Black managed to get into Josh's body.
Insidious: Chapter 3 is a 2015 supernatural horror film written and directed by Leigh Whannell in his directorial debut. A sequel, Insidious: The Last Key, was released in January 2018.
At their most basic level, the Insidious movies are haunted house stories — or, more accurately, not quite that. Screenwriter Leigh Whannell (who has not only written all three movies so far but also starred in all three and directed the third) pulls a fairly ingenious bait-and-switch in the franchise's first film.
The youngest Perron sister, April, who was 5 when the family moved from Cumberland to the house in 1971, died in 2017 of an accidental overdose from a fentanyl patch prescribed in connection with a surgery.
